Hope in the Midst of Failure
Scripture: Luke 22:31–62 | Date: July 6, 2025
We all experience failure. Big or small, and it weighs heavily. But with Jesus, there is always hope in the midst of failure.
Peter denied Jesus three times. He went from bold disciple to fearful stranger, yet Jesus did not condemn him. He looked at Peter with love.
Failure doesn’t define your identity. Jesus knows our weakness. He sees our sin. But He still calls us His own. We are loved, not rejected.
Failure also doesn’t erase your purpose. Jesus told Peter, “When you turn back, strengthen your brothers.” Your purpose continues—even after your worst moments.
Even more, failure doesn’t exclude you from grace. Jesus gave His body and blood “for the forgiveness of sins”—for Peter, and for us.
Many people today carry guilt from broken relationships, unmet goals, addiction, or spiritual struggles. Yet God still calls and He still redeems.
Through Peter’s story, we learn to turn back to Christ. Not with shame, but with trust. Because Jesus' gaze is not of judgment—but of deep love.
Jesus redeems your story. He can use your past to bless others. He brings purpose from brokenness and strength from weakness.
As long as you’re breathing, Jesus can restore what’s lost. His grace is not limited. His love never fails.
So if you feel stuck or disqualified, take heart. Jesus says, “Look at Me.” In His eyes, you’ll find forgiveness, calling, and hope.
