In today’s world, we value staying connected—through Wi-Fi, phones, and social media. But how strong is your spiritual connection with other believers? In The Communion of the Saints, Pastor Greg reminds us that our relationships in the body of Christ are vital to our spiritual health.

The Apostle’s Creed declares, “I believe in the communion of the saints.” This isn’t just a phrase—it’s a divine reality. The word communion means shared fellowship and deep participation with others. Through baptism and the Lord’s Supper, we are united by the Holy Spirit into one body. These sacraments are outward signs of an inward grace, reminding us that we belong to Christ—and to one another.

However, connection requires effort. It’s possible to attend church but remain disconnected. Faith grows strongest when lived out in community. As Paul writes, “Just as the body is one and has many parts, so it is with Christ.” We need each other to thrive in faith, to grow in grace, and to endure life’s challenges.

Pastor Greg encourages three practical ways to live out the communion of the saints. First, spend time with others. Join a small group or share a meal to build real relationships. Second, affirm others regularly. Speak words of encouragement that remind them of their value and purpose in Christ. Third, serve others intentionally. Use your gifts to bless, comfort, and strengthen the body of believers.

Christianity is not a solo journey. We are deeply connected through the Spirit, called to live in unity and love. When we live like we are one family in Christ, the world sees the beauty of God’s kingdom at work.
