Easter at Village Church
At the Village Church of Northbrook throughout Lent, we have followed the story of God’s covenants—from Eden through Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David—discovering the promises God made to bring life, blessing, and restoration. As we move on towards Easter, we will host unique worship services on Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
On Palm Sunday, we see Jesus enter Jerusalem as the fulfillment of every covenant promise. On Good Friday, we will pause to remember the cross, where Jesus gave his life and the new covenant was sealed in his blood. Then on Easter, we will gather to celebrate the victory of the resurrection, where God’s promises are fulfilled—sin is forgiven, death is defeated, and new life is offered to all through Christ.
Join us as we move from the solemn reflection of Good Friday to the joyful celebration of Easter, trusting in the steadfast love of God that carries us from Eden to the empty tomb.
For Kids Families
On Easter Sunday, Village Kids will provide care for children birth to four years old during the Contemporary Service at 9:30 am. Older children are encouraged to attend either worship service, Contemporary or Traditional, alongside their family.
Families are invited to enjoy our Easter Egg Scramble at 10:30 am, held between the two services. If you attend the contemporary service, stay afterward for the scramble, or come early and enjoy the fun before attending the traditional service.
