Serving Our Community

“I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.”  Acts 20:35

We are committed to assisting those in need in our community. Here are some examples of local community organizations that we partner with throughout the year. For more information about local missions, send an email to missions@villagechurchnorthbrook.org

A Just Harvest

A Just Harvest serves meals 365 days a year in Chicago. Our partnership began more than 10 years ago. We volunteer our time and funds to provide a meal for 175-200 guests once a month. We prepare food, transport it to A Just Harvest and we serve the meal to the guests.

C24/7

C24/7 is our newest partner in Chicago. We volunteer our time, provide food to their tutoring programs, and inventory to their weekly store.

PADS Homeless Shelter

PADS is an organization that serves homeless individuals and families. Deerfield Presbyterian is the site where PADS has overnight services on Sundays during the winter months. Our volunteers supervise the site and provide food one Sunday each month.

Good News Partners

Our association with Good News Partners began more than 30 years ago. GNP provides a Christ-centered pathway from homelessness to homeownership. We volunteer for projects and we share our skills with the staff and residents in this Chicago-based ministry.

Exodus World Service

Exodus is a 30-year-old organization that equips local churches in refugee ministry by educating Christians about refugee issues and linking volunteers to newly arrived refugee families. Refugees come to the Chicago area because they cannot go home. We support Exodus financially, volunteer by gathering materials needed for Welcome to America Packs, and serve as New Neighbors.

Serving the World

“Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.”
Isaiah 58:10

The Village Church is committed to assisting those outside our community and throughout the world.  Below are mission partners that we support through time, prayers, and monetary support.

"The ultimate purpose of Christian worship is union with God." - John Calvin
