Widows Evolving

In place of our usual Monday gathering, the Widows Evolving group will meet at the Village Green on Tuesday, July 28th for an evening of music and fellowship! Bring a lawn chair and enjoy The Yacht Rockets beginning at 7:15 pm. Look for our balloons near the path in the central area. We’ll begin gathering around 6:00 pm to claim our seating area as the children’s music starts at 6:30 pm. We hope you’ll join us!

Widows Evolving is a women’s support group that exists to provide support and friendship to women who have lost their spouse. While we are not a grief group, we provide an atmosphere of hope and love through shared activities and relationships. This support group is for and by the widows of The Village Church of Northbrook and our surrounding community in IL.

We host gatherings that feature a variety of activities including: a monthly meeting that features a guest speaker on a relevant topic, various outings to local places of interest, or enjoying a meal at a local restaurant. Widows Evolving also has connection groups where members can choose interest groups such as happy hour, for enjoying time visiting together at one another’s homes; attending a concert or the theater; or playing a round of golf.

We regularly send emails, cards, and phone calls in order to meet our purpose of friendship for the community of widows in Northbrook and beyond.
