Ways to Participate
Project Choirs are short-term ensembles that prepare music for selected Sunday worship services.
Singers may choose the projects that fit their interests and schedules without making a year-round weekly commitment. Rehearsal information and participating Sunday dates will be announced as each project is developed.
Festival Choirs bring together singers from The Village Church and the surrounding community for major worship services and special musical presentations.
Opportunities include Handel's Messiah, Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Easter, and other future events. Each Festival Choir follows a focused rehearsal schedule for that particular program.
The Village Church of Northbrook's choral ministry is led by Dr. Yongmin Kim as the Director of Traditional Worship Music.
With experience in choral conducting, vocal instruction, and church music, Dr. Kim provides thoughtful musical preparation while helping singers grow in worship, serve faithfully, and experience the joy of making meaningful music together.
Rev. Dr. Spencer LundgaardInsert a brief statement from Pastor Spencer here, introducing Dr. Kim's leadership of the choral ministry and expressing his pastoral support for the Sing With Us initiative. The statement should help prospective singers understand the worship-centered purpose of the ministry and feel confident in its leadership.
