Who, me?!

December 28, 2025

Many people believe God only calls the confident, the qualified, or the courageous, yet Scripture tells a different story. In this message, Who, Me?, we meet Moses at the burning bush and discover how God often calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

Moses was not looking for a mission. He was living a quiet life as a shepherd when God interrupted his routine. A burning bush caught his attention, and God spoke directly to him. God revealed His heart and His plan. He had seen the suffering of His people and was ready to act. But instead of acting alone, God chose to send someone.

That person was Moses.

Moses immediately pushed back. He questioned his worth. He doubted his ability. He wondered why God would choose him. Like many of us, Moses felt unqualified and unprepared. He asked, “Who am I?” and later, “What if they don’t believe me?” These questions reveal fear, doubt, and insecurity.

Yet God did not reject Moses. Instead, God reassured him. God promised His presence. He revealed His name. He demonstrated His power. Again and again, God reminded Moses that the mission would not depend on his strength, but on God’s faithfulness.

This message reminds us that God still works the same way today. He calls ordinary people to live with purpose. He invites us to join His mission in simple, faithful ways. We may feel unready or unsure, but God does not ask for perfection. He asks for trust.

When God sends us, He also goes with us. He sends us into our homes, our workplaces, and our communities. He invites us to be part of what He is already doing. The question is not whether God is calling. The question is whether we are willing to say yes.

This sermon challenges us to listen, trust, and step forward in faith. Because when God calls, He also equips.
