Blessing of the Backpacks
Sunday, August 16th during the 10:00am Contemporary Service
The summer months are winding down and kids (and parents) are getting ready for class to be back in session! So, as a church, we’re going to spend some time in prayer for this upcoming school year.
During the Contemporary worship service at 10:00 am on Sunday, August 16th we invite your children to bring/wear their backpacks to church. After the first two worship songs, we’ll have the kids come forward for a special blessing and a time of prayer. If your child doesn’t bring a backpack with them, that’s okay! The backpack is a symbol. We simply want to offer a blessing to your child and their upcoming school year. Junior High and High School students are welcome to participate as well.
