Village Kids

Rooted in Love, Growing in Faith

At the Village Church, we are committed to helping each child take the first steps on a life-long journey with Jesus Christ. Our mission is to make the Village Kids (ages 6 weeks to 5th grade) a place where children can discover who God is through His stories in the Bible and grow in their personal relationship with Him.

In addition to the Village Kids’ Sunday morning programs, we have Kids’ Choir and Kids’ Bell Choir with musicals during the Christmas and Lenten seasons. We also offer family Mission Opportunities - times when groups of families come together to serve in the local community. Our largest community outreach, Vacation Bible School, has shared the Gospel with children in local communities for more than 20 years.

Sunday school is back in-person at only the 10:00 am worship service. There will be NO Kids’ Time. Check your child in directly to Sunday school at the tent outside the front of the church by the circle drive. Advance registration and a health check form are both required each week.

Register for Sunday School each week on Realm. Sign up for Realm here.

We help each one of our 6th - 12th grade youths to know, love, and follow Jesus.

Being a disciple of Jesus is a life-long endeavor, and our Christian faith shapes our values, influences our relationship choices, and changes how we live. Each youth is encouraged to discover how they can join God's mission in their everyday life. We believe our youth can reflect God’s goodness right where they are — at home, at school, or in their community.

We want our youths to experience authentic relationships with each other and with their mentors here. Together we'll have fun, challenge each other, support one another, and walk through both good times and tough times with one another.

Additionally, 8th Graders are invited to participate in Confirmation each year between January and April. As for our weekly programs and for further info, please see below. Contact us for more information about anything you'd like to know more about!

Sunday Youth Church (SYC)

Each Sunday morning at 9:30am our jr and sr high youths meet in Fellowship Hall for a teen version of Sunday morning church! We discuss and study the same key sculptures that the adults in the sanctuary do, only with a focus and with an application more relevant and useful to teens. Please know that masks and social distancing guidelines are in place for your child's safety.

Marathon (Theology Group)

Marathon is for all Jr and Sr high youth, and meets every Tuesday and Thursday on Zoom from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Theology is the study of God and His ways, so we commit these 20-30 minute calls to doing just that! Interested? Just email Ed to get involved in Marathon!

Through our adult spiritual growth ministries/opportunities, we seek to develop these three areas of faith:

Knowledge of God

Develop our knowledge of God: who he is, what he is like, what he has done for us, and what he expects from us.

Devotion to God

Develop devotion to God: we should love him, be in communication with him, listen to him, obey him, live like him, and participate in the body of Christ.

Service for God

Encourage service for God: using our spiritual gifts, modeling the life of Christ, serving in the body of Christ, and sharing our faith with those around us.
